What is ShopWithScrip?
It’s fundraising while you shop!® Supporters purchase gift cards for America’s most popular retailers through Great Lakes Scrip Center® (GLSC) to use for everyday purchases. Our Kids earns money with each gift card purchase.
How does it work?
Supporters order gift cards through Our Kids, who is able to purchase them at a discount. You receive face value for the cards. The difference is an instant rebate for Our Kids, and you don’t purchase anything you don’t need. Gift cards are available in a pre-determined amount, as listed on the Order Form.
How much money can be earned through SCRIP?
By simply planning ahead on everyday purchases, the average family can earn at least $11/week for Our Kids. That modest amount can easily add up to $500-$1,000 in money raised for Our Kids per family participating, simply by buying gift cards to use for grocery shopping, filling up with gas, or making everyday purchases.
How do I purchase SCRIP cards?
Simply plan your shopping needs, fill out an order form, put the order form and payment (cash or check payable to New Life UMC with Our Kids SCRIP on the memo line) in an Our Kids SCRIP envelope, then either place the envelope in the offering plate, hand it to a SCRIP volunteer, or turn it in to the office during office hours.
How will I receive my SCRIP cards?
Orders are placed every other Monday. You will be notified by email or phone when your cards are in. Orders can be picked up at church on Sunday mornings, at Wednesday night God’s School, or from the church office during office hours.
